Subject: Qualifications of Teachers
You may request
the following information regarding your student's classroom teacher(s)
if you wish. If you requested the information, the district will
provide it in a timely manner in an understandable and uniform
format. To the extent practicable, it will be provided in a language
you understand.
Here is the information
you may request regarding your student's classroom teacher:
- Whether the
teacher has met state qualification and licensing criteria for
the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides
instruction;
- Whether the
teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status
through which state qualifications or licensing criteria have
been waived;
- The baccalaureate
degree major of the teacher and any other graduate certification
or degree held by the teacher, and the field of discipline of
the certificate or degree; and/or
- Whether the
student is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so,
their qualifications.
If you would
like to request this information for your student's classroom teacher(s),
please submit your request in writing to:
