PLAYGROUND POLICIES

SWINGS
One swing per person
First come first serve
Swing back and forth only
Sitting position only
Stay seated until swing stops (even when the bell rings. Let it slow
down before getting off.)
Keep your hands to yourself while swinging
Stay clear of the swinging zone
No climbing on the poles of the swing set
No under ducks

SLIDE
One person at a time going up the steps
One person at a time going down the slide
Be seated while sliding
Feet first only
No climbing on the poles, sides, back of steps
or face of slide
Keep all rocks, sand, etc. off the slide

TETHERBALL POLE
No climbing on the pole
Hit the ball with your hands only
No swinging on the ball

MERRY-GO-ROUND
Be seated at all times
Keep your feet off the ground unless pushing or stopping
Stay away from the middle
STOP to let people on or off
Do not reach for people or objects while spinning

BALANCE BEAM
Keep your hands to yourself
Keep an arms-length between people
Do not push or pull people off

CLIMBING BARS
Take turns
One person on each bar at a time
Do not push or pull people off
No hanging upside down
No spinning

TEETER TOTTER
One person on each end
No bucking
Sit facing one another
Remain seated at all times
Sit only on the seats
Stay away from the center poles

TIRES
Walk on bottom tires only
No standing on tires
No pushing or pulling off
Be careful if wearing slick bottom shoes

BASKETBALL COURT
Anyone may participate in basketball games during recesses
Stay off the court while games are being played

PICNIC BENCHES
You may sit on the top of the table when it's not muddy; sit only on the benches when its muddy.
No running over or standing on the table or benches

FENCE
Remain on playground area
Ask for permission to leave playground area

BALL RACK
Use the bench or ask for help to reach balls on higher shelves

MONORAIL
Only one person to hang at a time
Only one person can push and it MUST be from a standing start
No running under or through monorail area

PIKE'S PEAK
No jumping from equipment
No crossing over with someone else

BOUNCY SEAT
No more than two people at once

STEPPING STONES
Only one person at a time on each one
No playing with gravel and toys on stepping stones

PLUNGERS
One at a time

GENERAL
No sitting on top of equipment
No rough play
No throwing rocks
No jumping from equipment
