Preamble
The main purpose and objective of the Board of Trustees
of School District #17 is to maintain a school which will
provide as good an education as possible for the children
in grades kindergarten through six. It is an objective of
the Board to follow the policies as outlined until circumstances
arise which justify changes, revisions, or additions.
Definition of Terms
Policy - School Board
policies are statements which set
forth the purposes and prescribe in general
terms the organization and program of a school
system. They create a framework within which
the superintendent and his staff can discharge
their assigned duties with positive direction.
They tell what is expected or wanted. They
may also indicate why and how much.
Rules and Regulations - These are specific directions
telling how, by whom, where, and when things
are to be done. They apply policy to prac-
tice. Execution of policy is through the
administration applying detailed steps and
proceedings through rules and regulations.

Additionally, Morin School has adopted a Crisis Procedure
Plan which is housed at the County Superintendent of Schools
and Morin School.
In
the event of school evacuation emergency, students will
be relocated to Viola Zieglerís residence northeast
of the school at 8714 Pryor Road.
